There is no substitute for on-the-ground actual experience in a wide variety of areas. Our typical leaders are raised in a bubble, surrounded by liked-minded people, and usually come from: 1. prominent, connected families; 2. completely sterile and theoretically based learning institutions; and 3. soulless and distant corporate environments. All these realms have little to no basis in actual reality on the ground for most Americans and the world’s population.
The models we rely on fully and completely to run and justify our economy and way of life are based on child-like and idiotic assumptions that are completely divorced from reality. Our economic model relies on two massively wrong and fatal assumptions. Number one is the model’s programming that the earth’s resources are limitless. While our mainstream economic system acknowledges things such as pollution, these “negative externalities” are essentially set aside and conveniently not addressed. Pollution and environmental destruction are basically viewed as harmless afterthoughts in the theoretical model.
The second devastatingly fatal assumption in the mainstream economic model is that the marketplace has perfect information sharing. What a joke! In reality, one of the main reasons the elite are able to rise to the top and can remain there indefinitely is because of insider access to critical information and the ease in which they have the ability to distort critical information and truth. This effectively allows powerful individuals and entrenched institutions to alter reality and pull up the ladder behind them. In other words, rigging the game and system to their advantage and putting up roadblock after roadblock for the majority.
The elite have exclusive access on our politicians and law makers. Not only did the founders of democracy warn against the grave dangers of monopoly power, even our mainstream capitalistic system and theories highlight the major problems generated by monopolies. However, monopoly-like power is basically how our entire modern economy and society is run, which is killing true capitalism and true democracy. The feedback loop between economic powers, powerful elites, politicians, and the political system is overwhelmingly strong. The only way to fight back is pitting power vs. power. How to do this? More to come soon. space.
